FAQ

  • How do I care for my lei or wearable?
General care: It’s best to pick up the same day you need them or one day before. Please plan to store your lei or wearable in a cool place right away- no stopping at Costco on the way home! If you must store them, they are best kept in cooler temperatures, but flowers should never directly touch anything too cold. For example, if keeping in a refrigerator, lay a towel down and place the lei on the towel, in between wet paper towels. You may also keep the lei or wearable in the container it comes with and lay a wet paper towel over the lei or wearable and close the container tight. Take it out about 30 minutes before use to let it dry a bit. Please note plumeria (The I Love Maui Lei) should never be kept in the refrigerator. If you must store plumeria you may keep them in a cooler with ice packs, two towels over ice packs and gently lay the lei on top of towel. Mist with water. Please remember these are fresh flowers and it's totally normal for a few flower petals to fall off. This will not disrupt the look of the lei.
  • How much advance notice do you need to place an order?
The more time I have, the better the chances of getting exactly what you’re looking for. I ask for at least a few days please. During graduation season, orders will close about 10 or more days before the school's graduation day.
  • How long do the leis last?
It's best to pick up your lei on the same day you plan to wear it, or the day before. I guarantee the lei will be very fresh on your scheduled pick up day. These are cut flowers with no water source.... some last a few days with no water and some only last a day. Also, pay attention to the weather- if it's going to be sunny and hot and you plan to wear the lei or wearable outside, they won't last as long.
